Björn Broberg – Chairman

Björn, a co-founder of Syntune, was one of the driving forces behind Swedish tunable laser pioneer Altitun, which he co-founded in 1997. At Altitun, he was Director of Engineering, leading a group that grew to about 40 people after the acquisition by ADC in 2000. From 1993 to 1997, he was head of the Department of Optoelectronics at the Industrial Microelectronics Center (IMC) in Kista, Sweden. Björn's group amongst others developed tunable laser diodes for gas spectroscopy and sensor applications. Since 2002 he works as an independent consultant. Björn sits on the board of several small high-tech companies in Sweden and Norway.

John Pilitsis

John is an 18-year veteran of AT&T/Lucent Technologies. He served as the president of Lucent Optoelectronics from 1993 to 1998, and is widely credited with leading the turnaround of the Optoelectronics organization. Under his stewardship, sales rebounded from $172 million to over $450 million, and return on sales went from negative 50% to a positive 11%. Subsequent positions include CEO of Fitel Technologies Inc. Most recently, he was CEO of CyOptics from where he retired earlier this year. In addition to his commercial board positions, he has been Chairman of the Board of the Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (OIDA) in Washington DC.

Magnus Öberg

Magnus is Chief Technical Officer at Transmode, a provider of intelligent Optical Networking systems based on Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology for the transport of data, voice and video traffic within and beyond Metropolitan Networks. Prior to Transmode he worked as CTO at Lumentis AB, which merged with Transmode in 2005. Before co-founding Lumentis he was department manager at Ericsson Telecom for 6 years, developing the WDM system ERION. Magnus also has 11 years of research experience in the area of integrated optics and fiber-optic communications, mainly at the Institute of Microelectronics (IM) in Kista, Sweden.

Peder Holm

Investment Director of InnovationsKapital. Peder joined InnovationsKapital in 1997 after receiving his MBA certificate from the University of North Carolina. He holds an Executive MBA from Stockholm School of Economics, an MSc in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Gothenburg and has studied engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. Peder has been involved in over 20 investments in both ICT and Life Science companies since he joined InnovationsKapital.

Hadar Cars

Hadar is Investment Manager of Teknoinvest. He joined Teknoinvest Management AS in 2004. Prior to joining Teknoinvest he worked as a technology venture capitalist for 2.5 years, in French Viventures and Swedish ACR Capital. In year 2000 he took the private initiative to form a consortium to apply for a 3G license in Sweden, which lead to a successful license award and the establishment of Orange Sverige AB. Prior to this he was the President of CellPoint Systems AB – a leading provider of technology for location based services. He started his career with 9 years at Ericsson, where he among others was 4.5 years in Japan as General Manager for Japan for Ericsson's fixed network systems division. He serves as Member of the Board of Comlase NT AB (Sweden). Hadar has an M.Sc. degree in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and an MBA degree from INSEAD in France.
